We won't know until the last movie is released. Some say it's a reboot, others say it might be a continuation of sorts. Good stuff

it tells the same story but with less detail. rebuild for action, original for story. both food in their own rights.

The staff due to financial issues and more. Life was in the shithole for the time, and it colored Evangelions story.

Yeah pretty much a reboot/re-telling of the original story by ignoring, changing and adding elements to it. 1/2

I recommend watching the show first, the old movies and then the new rebuild movies. If you got the time that is. Enjoy! 2/2
