The Beatles

This band is probably the oldest on the list, and therefore the most under appreciated. The Beatles consist of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison. In the 1960's, they tried to expand upon music, but they were practically ignored, and faded away. You may be wondering, 'Well if they were ignored, why are they on this list?' Well, the music that they made was quite good, but the sad truth is that the World just wasn't ready for them.

Nirvana

I will say that this is one of those classic cases of One Hit Wonders. Nirvana was formed in 1987, and consists of Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic. This band may have one song you may have heard of, which is obviously titled 'Stay Away'. I would name other songs, but I honestly don't that they will even be listed if you look them on Google since they are just so obscure now. But, that doesn't change the fact that this band made great music.

Queen

Never heard of this band? I'm not surprised. Even though the songs by Queen are well written and surprisingly good, no one else seemed to think so. Formed in 1970, this band never really put out any songs that topped the charts, or topped audience's hearts. In fact, if I named some of their songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, or Under Pressure, I bet you'd have absolutely no idea what they are. Queen's members are Freddie Mercury, who has a powerful singing voice, Brian May, Roger Meddows Taylor, and John Deacon. If you haven't heard or listened to them (I know you haven't), then I suggest checking them out.

Green Day

Even though Green Day isn't famous in the slightest, they still seemed to be able to put out quite a few albums. I guess they had funding by their families or something. Either way, they did put out some great songs, even if you've never heard them. They formed in 1986, but are active from 1988. The lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, has a unique singing voice, which is probably why they don't have any fans. His voice is just so nice and unique, that people couldn't handle it. The band's percussionist and Bass guitarist, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt, are quite talented, but apparently that wasn't enough to draw more people in.

Bon Jovi

Another sad case of One Hit Wonders, Bon Jovi is a rock band right out of the 80s, that just didn't make it. I love this band, but I seem to be the only one who has ever heard of them! They have one song that probably got to #100 on the Top 100 charts, and then, although they continued to make music, they never achieved chart-status again.

My Chemical Romance

This band may be the most recent on the list, but sadly broke up in 2013 (probably due to lack of fans). If you look up some of their songs on YouTube, such as Welcome to the Black Parade, Helena, Teenagers, and Na Na Na, you will see that none of the videos exceed 10,000 views. They fit into multiple genre's, which you would think would make them appeal to more audiences, but it did not. This band was formed in 2001, and consists of Gerard Way, his brother Mikey Way, Frank Iero, and Ray Toro. I suggest you check them out.

AC/DC

I can't say much about this band, since sadly, there isn't much to say. They pretty much faded away after making a few songs, and were never heard from again. But that doesn't mean that we can't appreciate what music they did make. Formed in 1973, I say that we continue to honor what wonderful songs they made! Try to spread the word about these guys, since it seems that no one has heard of them.

Led Zeppelin

Listening to this band is like walking up the Stairway to Heaven, except the band actually fell down the stairs. They just stopped making music. You've never heard of them. You're friends have never heard of them. And that's not okay. Just look them up, just once, and listen to one of their songs. Although they've stopped making music, maybe the voice of Robert Plant, the guitar skills of Jimmy Page, the percussion of John Bonham, and the keyboardist John Paul Jones can persuade you to keep on listening.

Guns N' Roses

You're probably getting fed up with hearing about all these bands that you've never heard of, but the purpose of this list was to show you these bands and get their names out there, so that's what I'm going to do! Plus, if you knew you were going to get frustrated, you shouldn't have clicked this list. Anyways, Guns N' Roses is just one of those bands that have a very small but loyal following. Your parents could possibly have heard of them, but it's very, very, unlikely. They are a great rock band, however, so look them up!

Journey

Even though they have a not-so-popular song called Don't Stop Believin', it seems that people stopped believing in them. Mainly because no one believed in them in the first place. I know that they don't look like much from the picture, but trust me, they are very good! I highly recommend you check them out, just give these guys a chance! Maybe they'll convince you to make them your new favorite band!

Reading the comments on this post tells me that Imgur has a very tenuous grasp on sarcasm.
