Started a new job and it's not good.

So i recently started working for a council for a ongoing project that's being carried out. The person running the project got my resume and asked that i start no interview or talk beforehand needee (already very odd for a temp 3 month contract.

Getting only a brief description of the role it sounded relatively straightforward and in my wheelhouse.

Upon arrival i was given a short 2hr walkthrough of their work and a couple of random documents and then brought into a meeting with one of their partners on the project. At this point i still hadn't been told exactly what I'd be doing and attending a closed meeting and expected to weigh in was fairly confusing but i pushed on.

Looking through their documents it was becoming clearer that they were just bumbling their way through the legal processes and then today.

Today I was hit with what i would describe as negligence and legally scruitinous. I was shocked at the line managers decisions and ability to squander vast sums of money and open themselves up so that they are exploitable and legally susceptible.

To top it off they've suddenly started asking me to do things which I'm A) Not qualified for and B) Cannot be done in 3 months and needs to be a permenant role.

Well anyway, I'll be learning more tomorrow and hopefully start trying to find the edges of this puzzle before my need to jump ship overides staying.
