Neurologist appointment today but it feels like I'm getting no where

Sorry for the rant. Also sorry for any spelling or grammar as I'm on mobile. I've been getting bad migranes for the past ~9 months on the daily. Yeah. Waited 3 months to see the neurologist the first time. All he did was try me on this med for 3 months and see if it worked. Well it didn't so after 3 months of hellish topamax side effects I see him today. He says okay, stop taking that med and try this new one and see me in 3 months. I try explaining to him that in the meantime I've had decreased quality of life, missed a ton of work, it's put huge strain on my relationship to the point my husband barely tolerates me (it's not just that but yeah, a lot of it is me missing work and wanting to lay in bed all day as he puts it). The good doc barely looks at.me and says well that's how it works with migranes. I'd had a CT scan when I got referred to the neurologist but I'm not sure he's even seen it. He asked meif it turned up anything and I said no. I had a spinal tap. I've had countless bloodwork samples drawn (by quite a few rough nurses and a few gentle ones). I'm fed up with the whole medical system but at the same point I just don't want to be in pain any more. Percocets didn't touch it. It feels like someone's splitting my skull in half. Like needles in my eye. I don't know how much longer I can deal. Downvote to hell just let me get this off my chest
