I mentioned some of the dogs I met in Athens, I was asked for pictures.

This is Goldie. She shall forever be the first dog I met in Athens.

This is a sneaky cat.

This dog was one of the unfortunate few who remains unnamed. I didn't realise how much this dog thing was gonna be a thing.

Starbucks dog. Interesting story about this guy- the weekend we were there was the weekend of the Athenian riots a few years back. This Starbucks burnt down a day after this photo was taken.

This is Sinister Stan.

Snuffles.

The start of the parade.

Stockings.

Patch. This wasn't that original.

Ol' Boy.

Patch chillin'

Elusian Mysterioso

His Majesty.

This is the legendary Bark Vader. He Barked a lot and had a black hat.

Sneaks. Maybe?

Curious George.

Spike.

Grumps.

Bae caught me poopin'

Ancient Athenian Ancestor

Another one.

This. This guy right here we named Alcibiades. At the time I was writing my dissertation on the life of the Athenian General Alcibiades. I strongly recommend you go read a wiki page about him. He is awesome.

Anyway, This boy followed us for the remainder of our trip, along with a few others.

He was friendly and was waiting for us outside our hostel the next morning.

He was playful too.

Still chillin' with us.

And the next day too!

He was a faithful guard dog. Also sneaky dog below.

Loyalty.

Alcibiades and the lads on the way to the Acropolis.

There was a cat in the tree.

Thirsty.

There's water over here!

Awww yis.

Mother. fuckin. water.

The entourage continues.

Take a photo!

Acropolis this way!

They showed little regard for barrier etiquette.

We go where we want.

Alcibiades returning to his home.

And feelin' pretty fly.

This is the last place I saw Alcibiades. We figured the phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie" was appropriate here.

This guy was chilling in the Ice Cream store.

The Great Eye of Sauron (I've been made aware this is something quite nasty. Sorry Athenian buddy)

This guy found some shade.

And these guys are just sun bathing in Hadrian's Library.

The Library is the place to be.

Go to Athens.

aww

This makes me sad and happy.

I came to look at dogs, not read descriptions.

So does nobody own those dogs? I wanna go there and bring like 100 laser pointers and let those awesome bastards have the time of their life

I actually saw a documentary on this. There are many domestic dogs that are allowed to roam freely

Haha no that docu was in S. America. Athens is just a festering shit-hole of a city.

like outdoor cats. That's probably why many have collars and are not picked up by animal service people.
