I always wanted to make a pickaxe...

Banana for scale

I found the Pickhead in an old antique store, and decided to do something with it. Bought it for $10 (NZD), and took it home.
I used a diamond-grinder and ground down all the rust (a couple millimetres of it), then triangulated the sides because why not.

Took a whole week's worth of afternoons...

Many hours were spent.

I made the handle too from a branch out of my pine forest, and sanded that to fit. Oiled it with Linseed oil (smells goood), and wedged it together!

So, Imgur, should I find other old tool heads? I was thinking an axe next!
