I don't know if you would exactly call this a call for help or venting but I just wanted to let the world know that I'm so tired of this terrible dating scene of the generation that are in their 20s. Sure this may have been this way for all of the other generations to an extent but it just seems like people don't want to find something that sticks. They say they want it but are afraid of putting themselves out there to even try. "I'm just not a person you should be with", "I would be bad for you", "I would just hurt you" are things that I have heard so many times and sure it may just be a nice way of saying no to a person so that they don't feel like there is something wrong with them but it still happens. Maybe I haven't lived enough to even be saying stuff like this but it can be tough to find someone when you work second shift and only have time to socialize on the weekends. I'm just tired of it all. I've lost all sort of communicating and connecting skills which just ruins the chance of dating people that I would actually be interested in. It makes me want to become even more of a hermit every time I put myself out there and the situation goes up in flames. I'm just so incredibly tired of this.
Anyway, I guess I'm done now that I put that out there.

love

A girl recently asked why I was flirting with her. I told her that I liked her (duh). She said that was very flattering. Lol

Trust me your situation is not nearly is bad as finding someone you think is the one, only to have then tear your heart out.

Everyone is an idiot in their 20's. You're probably acting like an idiot in your own way too. Give it time and things will make more sense.

If you hear the same things every time, you should really look at yourself and determine whether there is anything you could work on

The only tip I can give you is try to be more casual. Don't set limits on yourself, as you seem to be doing with your shift type

Well it isn't everytime and there is no confirmation that it was just a nice way to say no, but I agree that I should take a deeper look

Try to go to sports bars during sporting events. Familiarize yourself with a team. Sit at the bar and when everyone's drunk and happy -cont-

just start making conversation. Build yourself a group of people to hang out with, then worry about dating later. Everyone knows someone.
