A customer at my pet shop dropped off a few hours old baby cockatiel. The parents of the bird were too young to care for it.
His only hope is being hand fed by humans.
His siblings didn't make it so I gave it some cotton balls to snug with.
Brought him home with me for the night.
I have to hand feed it every hour on the hour (taking a break from 10pm to 8am, momma bird wouldn't feed overnight).
So far so good.

I'm also not stupid. I don't leave them together in any type of situation that could lead to harm. He was sitting on the bed while I fed it.

Thanks for your oh so helpful advice. My cat has no interest in birds. He was born and raised around them. More into paper bags.
