Seine bank ("Quai des Champs-Elysées") with the Pont Alexandre III during the World Exposition "Exposition international des Arts Décoratifs et industriels moderne". Here, from April to October 1925, 18 nations presented the latest products from the arts and industry.
On the opposite bank, next to the Grand Palais (left in the background), one can see the Turkish luxury restaurants "La Tamise" and "La Corne d'Or". Galleries of luxury boutiques were installed on the bridge, and visitors where invited to cafés and dance floors in boats on the Seine. Unfortunately, the world exhibition did not leave lasting architectural traces.
