Coil the cord
Using a loop size appropriate for the weight of the cord (don't make it too tight, this will damage the wire over time), coil most of the cord, but leave enough length for 2-3 more loops. For best results, start just past the other end (about 9 o'clock in this image).
Wrap it up
Twist the free end through the center of the loop, then around the outside, while also continuing in the direction of the loop (so that this spiral doesn't have a significantly smaller radius).
Beautiful!
When you're done, you have a little coil that will stay put, all the loops held in place by the tail end. As an added bonus, it tends to not change in loop size once you've done this.

It's not that I tire, from wrapping this wire. I just need time to nut, for I see no dickbutt.

I prefer the "horns" method of wore wrapping. I find it works better for long periods, and wires don't end up tangled in pockets.
