ICBM Rail System

3 Hours of work

So while most people will spend that amount of time in traffic I made rails. Yes rails, not amazing concept on its own but impressive when you start to realize this is inside of Minecraft. A game where everything is made of boxes and almost nothing is complex.

The idea behind these rails is to eventually transport ICBM missiles around in the game. In a way, that is somewhat realistic while holding to the unrealistic magic of the game itself.

Pistons

Minecraft players love pistons so I made sure that rails could work with pistons. This allows for complex designs, regardless of how often it will be used. Eventually more logic will be added to the rails to get full control. After all, I love the "Internet of things" so why not "Redstone of things" *an actual concept I'm working on* https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/addicted-to-red

Rendering

Most of my time, both today and over the last few days, this has been my view. Half of the screen with misshaped models and the other half with raw render code. Where I slowly but painfully code out each and every rotation value for the model. In some renderers this literally is 128+ rotations. Which doesn't even include what I get to do next which is every more crazy!

They move

Not only did I code up some rails I also coded some carts to go with them. The rendering was completed yesterday, the movement was completed today. Not without it's problems as the carts like to fly away and bounce off the tracks randomly. This will, of course, be fixed after I buy more coffee.

Keep in mind also, these rails share zero code with Minecraft's native rails. All fresh code for bugs to build nests inside.

Its only going to get harder

For those that think my job is done :P . Those missiles in the early pictures are the small jeep fired missiles. This is pictures shows the next task of moving a standard anti-plane missile. After this, I have two more sizes to go (20m+ and 64m+).
