AMA of a Lingerie Fitter pt. 2

This is probably my most asked question. But unfortunately, there really isn't one specific answer.
This is a huge grey area. Because on one hand, you don't want to offend anyone, but on the other hand, you don't want any customers feeling uncomfortable. There also isn't any way to tell if a man is a legit trans or drag queen without being WAY too personal, and not just preying on women. Unlikely, but when you're a major company, you don't risk things.
Typically, what I would do, if the situation presented itself, was let them use our fitting rooms and lock all of the other doors, and then send the other ladies right across the department to the other lady fitting room.
I dunno if that's proper, or whatever, but I sure as hell wasn't going to deny them the use of a room and I wanted to avoid all conflict.
I only had to do that once, though. Usually if a trans person wanted to try something on, they just took it home and brought it back if it didn't fit.
Same went for drag/crossdressers.
I only fit a m-f trans in our rooms once, unintentionally, because she didn't look like anything but. So, from then on, I let her continue to use the rooms... no one could tell she was trans, so it didn't ever cause an issue.
Hopefully, one day, maybe they'll install trans fitting rooms?
Until society if more accepting and comfortable, that's really all you can do.

PS - If my terms/language aren't correct I'm sorry... I am trying hard to be PC but seriously I can't keep up with what's right/wrong to call a trans person so I give up. Lol. Everyone says something different.

Basically, trial and error. You can be told your true size 95 times, but shit isn't gonna fit unless you find the right style for you. Shoulders, ribcage. boob flappiness, all factor into your bra's comfort.
But once you find one... it's like angels singing.

No. As far as I know that's never happened. The only sexual situations that have happened in my line of work were all by third party.

Nope. It's full of controversy, but the bottom line is even if we did allow men to fit lingerie, 9/10 a customer would have a problem with it and ask for someone else. So we just avoid it all entirely.
Remember, this isn't MY policy. I don't own the company.
And I don't really have an opinion on it, either.

Honestly, fitting for lingerie was only about half of my job. We also did a lot of work with women recovering from breast cancer, who had had mastectomy (removal of the breast) procedures or lumpectomy (removal of parts of a breast). So we'd help them find prosthetic pieces.
So helping them out was always cool. Nothing like taking a woman who just won the hardest fight of her life and making her feel pretty again.
