Pen on Paper- Incomplete
One of our first projects. The "string" running thought the "board" was supposed to be shaded; I used an indigo colored pencil on mine. The background was to be done in some sort of pattern, like zentangling.
"Dr. Suess Tubes"- Colored Pencil on Paper- Incomplete
Second project we did. Just a practice in highlights and multi-color shading. I never did finish this one, it took me forever cause I was really meticulous and had to move on to other projects. We called them "Dr. Suess Tubes" because they looked like truffula trees.
"Woven Stripes"- Oil Pastel on Paper- Incomplete
So for this one we we working on our shading skills with oil pastels instead if colored pencils. I did end up finishing this one.
Copy of "Three Sunflowers in a Vase" by Vincent van Gough- Oil Pastel on Paper- Incomplete
Now this one I did in my spare time one week (instead of working on my other incomplete projects).
"Orange Vans Shoe"- Colored Pencil on Paper- Start
This project was for my final. We were to draw a shoe of some sort. I really like Vans and the color orange so I lucked out in finding this pic. This my fist time using griding.
Sketch done over in Sharpie pen so I can could trace the lines to transfer the image to nice drawing paper.
The design is now on good paper and I'm starting to fill it in with color.
"Orange Vans Shoe"- Colored Pencil on Paper- Completed
Finished! I cut off the bottom bit to remove my name from the pic for privacy reasons.
"Mesa in Monument Valley"- Pencil on Paper (with 3 Dimensional Elements)
For this project we were to draw something and use little foam blocks to make various levels in our piece. It wasn't my favorite project but I suppose it turned out ok.
My levels were: background, mesa, foreground, rocky outcropping in the very front.
Again I removed my signature. :)
"Burning Brilliance"- Pencil on Paper- Incomplete
This is our second semester final. We were to draw some sort of plant with leaves and incorporate both warm and cool colors and shading. This picture is completely original.
"Burning Brilliance"- Pencil on Paper- Incomplete
I decided that I wanted my plant to have cool colored leaves (blue, green, purple) and to have one side be burning, which i would show with warm colors (red, orange, yellow). So the holes in my leaves on the left are where they had already been burned through. I think I got a little farther along than this but I never did finish it. I still have it somewhere.
Again, cropped out my name.
Thanks so much for reading. Feel free to tell me what you think!
