Got some big ass pieces of wood to chop
I have wood splitters, axes and an electric chainsaw. Having a hell of a time cutting these down to pieces. Any insight would be great.

Cut into smaller pieces
THEfreshestbrew
Soak them in wood first
Nukls
Let them season for a year....or two

Scrap that electric saw for one, next get yourself a good hatchet, a 3 pound axe and an 8 pound splitting maul.

Did you soak them in wood first?
Justabuckeye
Tell your neighbor to report you for hiding drugs in your firewood

Soak the logs in wood. Seriously good heavy maul and a big straight on swing.

Sharpening tools and learning how to properly use them has solved 85 percent of the problems for me, good luck @op
JeffGodofBiscuits
axe and wedges or a splitting maul should do it
WhowasJesus
Use one of the rounds for a base. Put the piece you want to split on top. Use the axe and start working around the edges until you split it.

I appreciate all the advice, basically I need a sledge hammer
TheBrickTamland
And a bigger maul
schtomp
and a wedge
jbilly90
Wood maul should work. Take a hard swing get it good and stuck. Then hit with sledge hammer util spilt
TheBrickTamland
Yeah, need a sledge hammer
jbilly90
Um you could use the back of the other axe if you have two of them
krugle
Good way to shatter the head.
jbilly90
Never shattered one but ya i could see that happening

I've done it (you REALLY aren't supposed to) but the steel is relatively brittle so steel to steel can fracture or crack it, same as hammers
