the end of the soviet era wasn't just a change in geopolitics, it was the end of tyranny in several countries.

if you lived there, you'd probably feel different. Art like that belongs in a museum, not a public place since it's communist propaganda.

Soviet victory, not Bulgarian, and at the same time it is a reminder of a communist tyranny that lasted for 45 years.

i take it you're not from the eastern block. well, would you not remove a nazi monument? or a Gaddafi statue? Saddam statue?

Not necessarily. Besides, it's not like this is a big statue of Stalin. If it has appropriate history, I figure it's worth keeping.
