Here at Luvindustries the engineers are still distracted by 'internet research on spaceships', which we take to mean they watched a star wars trailer again.

The back is ugly, but some moving parts are there to give limited yaw and pitch control in extreme circumstances (when the airflow is passing those control surfaces though, you're turning too hard or something - they mostly help with landing).

The worst angle, unfortunately spherical is hard to do in KSP, but the engineers did their best.

Inside looks pretty good! I'd imagine that's what a TIE cockpit would look like.

Let's go land at this abandoned airfield.

SCREEEEEAAAAAAAWWW!!!

Landing VTOL style on jet engines is not an easy time. Not a lot here.

Righto, let's head home.

...wait, that's no spacestation, that's a moon!

but the less mods, the more awsome it is.

Most of the core game at launch came directly from mods or was inspired by mods.

Oh I know, Been with it since .23, but many mods decrease the difficulty, (Though I may use the realism set... Which is totally different)

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not that- it's the spool time. You end up having to just balance it around a TWR of 1 and accept a sink

If you were to roll into 45 deg while coming in I'm pretty sure TCA would keep you level while the vertical engine kicks in.

Vertical engine? :D There's only the two jets - I like my landings more entertaining than that these days!
