#3 You think that's dumb, remember that all Seska had to do was download as much data as she could and then just not make waves until they got back to the alpha quadrant but nope tried to do a mutiny then went off with the super sexist aliens. Without a doubt the worst Obsidian Order agent out there.

#34 my FIL is nice to me and dotes on my toddler, but I just can't get past the fact that he hates cats and pushes mine away if she approaches him
Vergenbuurg
...and let me guess, BECAUSE he doesn't want the cat near him, the cat gravitates towards him way moreso than anyone else?

#3 I've always thought the prime directive was bullshit
Meltemi
The Prime Directive was fine when it was just non-interference. It started going off the rails as early as TNG when they would let natural phenomena destroy an entire planet and wipe out a pre-FTL species (Pen Pals, Homeward) simply because they hadn't advanced to an arbitrary standard, even if they *could* save those people without risking active interference in their cultures.
This is, mind, leaving aside Phlox's absolutely insane eugenicist take on the matter pre-Federation in Dear Doctor.
leechdemon
Agreed, however it's an interesting answer to the Fermi Paradox, so I don't hate it out of principle. It's usually just the sign of an episode I won't love.
