The original T-nut to bolt down my lathe's toolpost. Just one bolt wasn't strong enough, the post could slide around.

"Do you work in inch or metric?"

this project is unit hell... it's sticking together a modern chinese clone of a 1960-designed Swiss lathe toolholder, to a 1990 taiwanese clone of a 50's american lathe.

Milled the first few cuts, boring the round boss

Bored, pin hole drilled.

Test fitting in the compound slide.

Turning the pin

Pin pressed in

Test fit

Toolpost re-assembled and mounted

You said nut...

why spend the money on mitutoyo calipers when you can spend $10 at hazard fraught and get something just as good? (after a good cleaning)

yeah. I get cheapos work for a lot of people. But the more you use it, the more you're reminded it's a cheap one. Mits just work forever.
