Weekend creation

I made a thing!

Started off with rough plans on the back of an envelope. Nothing too complicated. I am an amateur at all this. But I'm pretty pleased with the outcome so far.

A useless space under my stairs. Used as a place for the dog to sleep and a dumping ground.

Stripped everything back to reveal the concrete slab.

Started to box everything out. Nothing in this 1920's house is square. So it wasn't a fast job. Made from 12x40mm pine

With most of the boxing done I started to add the cladding. Made from 12mm MDF. cheapest option.

Adding a lid to allow for storage underneath. One of the issues with living in a 100 year old house. No storage!

Lights added to to keep the wife happy.

Still needs to be filled and sanded. Them painted in white eggshell.

Very pleased with myself.
