Any dang fool can look up a rainbow, it takes something more to be able to find the silver lining. ~ me

I'm glad that there are people out there who can keep from being pessimistic in the dark of all the shit going on. I just have to keep myself from knowing about most of it so I can stay somewhat sane. Once it starts to get better again it will be easier for me to be happy again if I have a light to follow.

I thought that was Mamdani at first

Okay but like... what if you were out there protesting against the tyrannical government? Optimism is great, but without action it's hollow and saccharine.

Every conflict needs jesters and comedians to help people laugh and escape their problems for a little while so they can come back refreshed and ready to continue fighting.

Absolutely. Every raiding party needs Support classes, but America is sorely lacking in anything BUT Support classes, and they're mighty fuckin' long distance Support on top of that. I wouldn't be nearly this upset if I could see some evidence that there were DPS and Tank classes out there doing their part.

Not naive, KNAVE!

I would try (awkwardly) to make friends with anyone I saw wearing a wizard hat in public.

Ok, I'm not terribly up on fiber arts, but don't you need two?

I'm not super informed on the fiber arts either, but when I just looked it up it looks as if unlike knitting, which uses two needles, traditional crochet keeps just one active loop on a single hook as you build stitches.

Hi! You crotchet with just one hook. Knitting uses two. You can knit without looking at it if you're good. Crotchet, you have to pay attention, but you CAN get all free form and wobbly with it, adding or subtracting loops to loosen or tighten what you're crotcheting.

You’re thinking of knitting needles.

Crocheting uses 1 hooked wand (hook). Knitting uses 2 non-hooked wands (needles)

You need two needles to knit but only one hook to crochet

I love that. I didn't make my own hook, but I did make my own hat!

Ooo I think I found a picture of it in your posts! It looks great! I love it!

You did, yes. Thank you so much.

I'm slowly working on this game idea where you play a naive whimsical hedge wizard, curing peoples cows and stuff, but slowly become an illegal potion kingpin, making alliances with the goblin tribe etc. My friends say, "This is a cool idea, but you haven't finished your other two games yet..." and I'm like, "Bitch, what are you, EA? I do it for love of the game, not money!"

You should read The Spellmonger by Terry Mancour

Don't let unfinished games become too much of a habit. I have a... concerning number of unfinished games.

yeah, the problem for me is that i really like the game logic design part, but not the content creation. But the problem is i also don't like finishing games i play either.
