Step 1

Get cheap wooden coasters ($6.99 on Amazon, set of four. They nest! And they have the right shape.)

Step 2

Take trust Dremel tool, beat up the edges. (Wanting it to look like this, after all: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/9/97/WhiterunGuardShield.png/revision/latest?cb=20120311164056)

Step 3

Paint chosen color in the middle. I started with the yellow of the Whiterun shield.

Step 4

After middle color has dried, paint design. Only cover up part of it once to fix.

Step 5

Do the three others, and improv the Skyrim logo because the Elder Scrolls Online logo was waaaay too complicated (I printed out four templates that were the right size as guides). Also, finish with metallic silver on the edges! Ties it all together.
