The ghost shrimp survived sharing a tank with a mating pair of angel fish for over a month until we moved them to our 65 gallon. He's seen some things.
I reuploaded this, because I wanted to add the catfish. I think they're pretty neat.

It really depends. You just have to observe on a case by case basis. This one has current, whereas one of our other betta tanks has none 1/?

And so far, all of our male bettas have done very well with other fish. Just can't put them with other males. 2/2

You can stock them with other small fish provided they dont have long fins like comets and butterfly fish

Right on. I guess as long as they aren't trying to kill each other there's not much to worry about
