Shaker style writing desk

The finished product. Very enjoyable little project here requiring a couple of templates , a couple of graceful curves and some beautiful lumber. I used quarter sawn sycamore and black walnut

Nice proportions, it looks like it might be delicately balanced but it is quite sturdy.

That top is something else.

I used pinned breadboard ends

I always like to do something unexpected and with this project the drawer bottom definitely not what you would expect. I used walnut. makes for a nice unexpected touch when one opens the drawer

The curved feet are joined to the legs with floating tenons
