Because GOOD cops don't deserve all the hate
The officer that shot Walter Scott deserves to be charged with murder. I stated that i agreed with people and all of my replies were still down voted. Is it such a bad thing that I encourage people to do their own research? The post had no link to the video (at the time) and i provided one.
My brother has recently become a police officer in a small town in a rural area. I am sick of all the unjust hate for police officers as a whole due to the mistakes of the few. He doesn't deserve the hate. Fuck. Down vote me more if you like, but respect good police officers. Jumping to conclusions does nothing for a situation like this. Discuss it like normal adults.

They aren't defending the cop, they states not all cops are bad, and people should do there own research. I agree with the OP

Because no matter how a situation may seem, it still needs to be investigated. There also was no link to a video. Just that one picture.

I saw the video an hour ago on a different website. I haven't seen the previous Imgur post you refer to. But that cop IS a murderer.

People don't like the police until they need them. Those sirens can be the most reassuring thing you hear.

About 4% of the time you need them, anyway. Most crimes are *long done* by the time they show up.

True, I have had experiences that I was thankful and I don't like the dogpile when 1 (or more really) does something horrible.

My main issue with police is that the institution itself can't be replaced by something better. Entrenched monopoly doesn't age well.
