Should have done before and after pic. I can't tell the difference
They are the facelifted tail lights. Before they were the older style, individual LED lights. My car is a 2012, these are 2013+

My bimmer has rear tail lights like this. Such a huge design improvement when they changed it in 2012.

The upgrade is that they aren't just red...but RED. The upgrade is in the spelling.
