Of the heart?

Every single other lunar or solar eclipse in my five-ish decades of life was hidden due to cloud cover so it blew my mind to get to watch this today.

Pictures don't do it justice. A total eclipse is incredible to witness.

Really jealous! Nothing to see from Gijon. (Fantastic video!)

I, wish they had panned down. I got to see the April 2024 eclipse from the edge of Lake Erie, the horizon looks like it's on fire when totality hits

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Damn, it was totally cloudy here in buffalo when that happened. It was still an amazing and surreal experience but to see the horizon change color would have been amazing.

Turn around

Every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming 'round

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did see a total eclipse past year, and I can confirm that it's a much more impressive experience than any non-total eclipse (those are a bit meh to be honest)

It makes you appreciate how damned big the moon is, if you ask me. It's really far away, and still can blot out the sun.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's 1/400th the actual size of the sun, but it's 400x closer so they both appear to be about the same size in our sky

This song just doesn’t work for me acoustically

Also from Zaragoza.

Dude! You should have posted a warning to not look directly at the video without special glasses! How many people will damage their eyesight because of you? /s

Its so fucking cool that we live on a planet with a moon just large enough and at just the right distance that it perfectly obscures the sun except for its corona. This is such an astronomical anomaly that I don't think we know of any other planets where this happens. Seeing it in person in 2024, even though it was cloudy, was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honestly the size of the moon is... Really fucking weird.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now there’s only live in the dark.

The Sun will be back in Avengers: Doomsday

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Perseids later tonight. Great space day!

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The next total solar eclipse will occur on August 2, 2027. It will feature an extended period of totality lasting up to 6 minutes and 22 seconds near Luxor, Egypt

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We don't think much of it, but my understanding is that Earths near-perfectly sized total eclipse is an astronomical cosmic miracle to have.

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

So the moon is drifting away from Earth a few centimeters a year. We just happen to be here to see it at the right time, so you're the miracle! :) Or the timing or whatever. I don't run things around here.

It is!

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Umm..I thought this was supposed to be a total eclipse of the heart? Why is the moon and sun in this video?

3 weeks ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Because Bonnie Tyler passed away last month.

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This is how I find out? RIP a few of her songs were regular earworms

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't have glasses, so I only got a few photos of the shadows:

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Omg halp what am I looking at? Water? Those crescent shadows are amazing

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A structure wall, partially in shadow by a treetop's leaves.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's the outside of a French house <3

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahh the lamp is on the wall! Not a lamppost hovering in mist. Thank you kind people! My brain was stuttering

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totality is an amazing thing to witness

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

RIP Bonnie Tyler

I was lost in France, it was a heartbreak.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup, today's the 12th, which is when that and a meteor storm happens tonight.

I saw the partial from NYC today. In 2024, I saw the total eclipse in upper works trailhead in Newcomb New York and it was magical.
All that you touch
And all that you see
All that you taste
And all you feel
All that you love
And all that you hate
All you distrust
And all you save

Everything under the sun is in tune.

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

But the sun is eclipse by the moon!!

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is no dark side of the moon... Matter of fact, it's all dark

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I swear to God if this isn't played at my funeral I will come back to haunt you all

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i was happy to have seen the total eclipse. only one im going to get to see. ill be dead when the next one happens here.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I traveled like 400 miles to see it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

definitely a trip. i pick up my daughter so i drive 2.5hrs to see it. half was out of the way to get her. the other half was to get back into totality

Cold-hearted orb that rules the night. Removes the sun's rays from our sight. Red the sky and blocked the light, but we decide which is night, and which is an illusion. (With my apologies to the original lyricist.) Late Lament - The Moody Blues.

I love that album, Days Of Future Past

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you decided wrong

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looking forward to a total eclipse couple of hours drive from home in 28.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The drive I made to see one in 2024 was the farthest I ever drove.

You know I thought about not posting it because of this and I really don’t wanna do political crap, especially with him, but it was too good not to.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He's such an unbelievably stupid person.

3 weeks ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

I'd settle for him being believably dead.

Like on camera. I want to see his final breath... IDC if its just vaporlock, or his brain finally rattles loose, or he gets a Kirking.

Don't care. Just let him be dead, let the toxicity happen, let Vance flail around like an idiot and the GOP/MAGA/Rape-publicans splinter themselves to fucking shreds and take the establishment democrats as well.

You know every middle school student was taught why to wear viewing glasses and had a great science lab that day. Then saw that picture and realized something

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn’t pay attention to the orange stain and so read:

“Taken by my son… He’s such an unbelievably stupid person”

I thought that was a little harsh as it’s actually a very good video.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've seen at least 50 people do the exact same thing today

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're called capitalists. They don't believe in science, they just believe in profit.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I meant staring at the sun, not being pedo-grifter

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same thing. The capitalists also vote for people who give these people power.
