This week's colleagues: mumma and her new-born foal

My client Gordon could not wait to show me the newborn filly. He took me to the paddock as soon as I arrived.

She was born at 3.30 am, with Gordon helping the mare after an hour of being stuck. She had yet to drink from her mum, and here she is trying to stay standing to get to the milk.

The poor thing crashed to the ground just after the previous photo. Mum is trying to encourage her again, but she just lay on the ground and tried to suckle my fingers. Pretty amazing to see all this.
