Caraway Mayonnaise

Toast off some caraway seeds in a dry pan...

add some oil and heat...

and let steep for a bit.

Use the oil to make a mayonnaise.

Tuna

Seared in a pan, basted with butter. Cooked to well-done.

Assemble

Mini onion rolls on the bottom, swiss cheese on top.

Fire

Because I am an adult and if I want to light my food on fire I goddamn will.

Finished Plate

Look at that shit. Tell me you don't want to eat it. Of course you do. Fire makes everything better.

I LOVE caraway. Not enough of that flavor here in the states.

Between the well-done tuna and the caraway seeds... I'll pass.

If you cook it right, well-done tuna is still fairly moist, and a lot more reminiscent of diner tuna melts than raw or seared.

Also, there are no caraway seeds in the finished dish.

Thanks. Now I am drooling into my stale Cheetos.
