Here is where the disaster occurred. It all started with a power surge, and a steam explosion. The result was a chain of events that triggered the worst nuclear disaster in history.

This is the outer shell that attempts to contain the radiation.

31 people died during the accident.... and an unnumbered amount of people have been affected by the radiation.

Radiaton - So hot right now

During the trip, our guide kept tabs on our radiation intake. They said that during the day, we'd only absorb radiation equivalent to a cross Atlantic flight.

Waiver

During the ride, our guide had us sign this waiver. Yes... roads from Kiev to Pripyat are a bit bumpy.

It's amazing that around 50,000 people were residents of Pripyat. Now, as they say, it's a ghost town.

Schools, Hotels, Apartments, Service Stations and a Hospital are all here, and recognizable.

To make things simpler for everyone on the trip, I paid for the flight tickets. All my friends instantly reimbursed me, except for this guy. Needless to say, we don't talk to him anymore. So instead of a DickButt at the end of the album, I just have a pic of a real Dick.
