Today I broke my personal record, the site record, and the United States record for the most amount of rockweed harvested in one tide. 12970 pounds.

Today I broke my personal record, the site record, and the United States record for the most amount of rockweed harvested in one

Goddamn Canadians hold the world record with their stupid bigger boats that don't sink. For those of you curious as to why the hell I do something like this, what in lord satan's name rockweed is, what the infernal sea plant is used for, or really anything else, I am happy to answer questions in comments or PM.

I am yet to best my personal record for fucks given

how many hours of work? how much money did you make off it?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I normally work about 5 hours a day and harvest between 3-5 tons. We get paid $46 USD a ton. Its awesome.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sigh. Go ahead and fill us in OP, I'm too lazy to google.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its for fertilizer. We get paid by the ton. Its only harvested in Maine, Ireland, and Nova Scotia.

Can you smoke the rock weed?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is like 50% water so no

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are you single

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am because I live in the corner of nowhere on an island in the woods and forget how to socialize

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As somebody who lives on an island on the east coast of Canada, I've never heard or seen this before.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have sites in New Bruinswick and Nova Scotia. Only about 300 people do it world wide.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why the hell do you do something like that? What in lord satans name is rockweed? What is that infernal sea plant used for?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do it because I get to work on the water and get in amazing g shao

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do it because it makes me get in amazing shape, I get to work on the water, and make great money

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rockweed is a big ass plant that grows in cold northern waters. It's brown and ugly

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What the hell is rockweed used for?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its full of proteins and nutrients which make it amazing in fertilizer. My company dries it and grinds it up for that purpose.

Also you sound like you listen to corb Lund

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mostly listen to the Skyrim theme song on repeat or the Legend of Zelda sound track.

TELL ME WHAT ROCKWEED IS!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ROCKWEED IS A PLANT THAT ONLY GROWS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE WORLD ABOVE 40 DEGREES LONGITUDE

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HOW DOES ONE HARVEST THIS PLANT THAT BRINGS LIFE TO OTHER PLANTS?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I USE THE RAKE THAT I HAVE ON MY SHOULDERS. ITS GOT TINES AND A BLADE I SHARPEN EVERYDAY

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IT IS HARVESTED IN CANADA, MAINE IN THE USA, AND IRELAND. AND ITS USED FOR FERTILIZER.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I fapped for like 2 hours once

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

13 seconds from no touchy to capable of reading my stop watch. Oh to be 14 again

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is an impressively long time... This job makes my arms cramp which makes it impossible for me to break your record.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah but i don't have a viking hat, that's why it takes 2 hours

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The horns of power give great strength and endurance. You would last three times as long with a viking helmet.

God damn Canadians

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nova Scotians are freaking crazy good at seaweed raking. I think the Canadian record is 14600 pounds.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TIL rockweed is a thing. Congrats OP!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks! And only about 300 people do this world wide. But my crew of 10 harvests about 2500 tons a year. Which is quite a lot.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What kind of ton? The right one, the one that is too small or the one that is too big?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This ton is 2000 pounds. Or 907 Kilos.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So the one that is too small :P Still a lot of rockweed.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which one is the one that is just right? And hell ya! It translates to just under 6000 kilos or 928 stone. (Thank you google)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A cross between Poseidon and Thor. Thorseidon? Poseithor?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have lost like 4 cell phones overboard and just scream FOR THE SEA GOD each time. So maybe like a Triton over Thor.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I shall name you Throrton!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I accept this name. Also, major props on a Discworld themed name.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm glad your fucking awesome op. What is the payout per lb?

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank you! We get paid $46 a ton. Which is like... 2.2 cents a pound or something like that. Most guys shoot for 15 tons a week.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

More than I make as an engineer

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its awesome that I don't need to use my degree and make roughly $1500 a week for a 35 hour week. Mwahahahahha

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's your degree?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

History. But I am just having fun screwing around for now. Eventually I will teach.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you ever tried eating seaweed, i.e. dulse?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have! My company actually does edible seaweeds but they grow them in Canada. Dulce is not so bad and actually grows here.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oi! It's dulse, with a S. An Irish word you see ;-) I don't mind it, but I can't eat too much of it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I apologize. I am a little brain dead today. My company actually has harvesting sites in Ireland because there is such wonderful plantlife

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I normally fly an Irish flag off my boat. I should be better at my Irish related spellings.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No worries, squire. You should go to Ireland one day, perhaps check out the tides in Strangford Lough.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really hope to. I have a feeling if I go I will never come back. My mom's dad is from the Dublin area and I have always wanted to see it.
