Better than Idiocracy...
...I hope.
Still believe there is role to be played by elected positions but the actual nitty-gritty of government should not be left to people unqualified or even unaware of their responsibilities. If democracy were perfect, the right people would be elected but too politics doesn't care about who's right, just who wins. A friend of mine said it best to me,
"Politics is a rat maze, only the biggest rat gets the cheese"
