Easy fire starters!

Nov 1, 2016 7:31 PM

Placing it in my fire pit.

Saw this idea on hear and gave it a try. Just rolled dryer lent then cut in half. I used the little bit of was from my wife's candles to dip the lent in.

3 dryer sheets made 6 fire starters.

Oh nice a decent flame is now working its way up.

At first I was skeptical because it looked like this for a few seconds.

Positioned sticks around it in a tepee manner.

Sticks are burning with no additional help. Good idea to whom I saw this from.

Btw. Yes that is a metal washing machine drum. This one is ceramic coated and makes a good fire pit.

Lent is a Catholic thing, lint is from a dryer.

I'm not using dryer sheets but now I have an idea what to do with the lint collected in the sieve.

That's what I meant was the dryer lent sheets. Not the smelling thing to prevent static

Fill empty toilet paper rolls with lint. Soak with Vaseline and out in plastic bag. Take out when you need them.

Nice I like that idea. This one I showed I liked because it's the byproducts. Like giving them an extra life
