6 months ago this guy went missing. After searching and putting up posters everywhere we could think for months we began to lose hope. Today I received a call from my new favorite stranger saying they'd found him and a vet had given him my number after checking the microchip. When he left us he had a blue collar with all of our information on it, when he was found he had a pink collar and was covered in fleas. I can only imagine what he's been through. When he saw me and I called him he meowed, ran to me, and rubbed up against my legs. Best. Feeling. Ever. So glad to have him back.

Relaxing at home, where he belongs. Love feeling the joint excitement, it's been a good day. Posted an update on how's he's acclimating. https://imgur.com/gallery/XDSiH

Lucky day. My cats are too lazy to leave. Most theyve done is chill on the porch with me.

My cat ran off a while ago and was gone for nearly 72 hr. til it rained. Found her, and was almost in tears while saying "YOU LITTLE SHIT."

Did he give you fleas?

No, first stop was the vet for flea meds and he's in isolation in a spare bedroom where they can die in peace

I -hope- this means that she threw her collar and whoever found her gave her a new one, rather than just straight up trying to nick a cat.

Hopefully, but whoever it was didn't realize what they had, pink isn't really his color lol

Am I the only one that didn't read the title and thought it was a dog in the crate? Meowing dogs, did a double take.

I'm glad you didn't build suspense. I couldn't handle it.

I worked in a shelter people assume all cats are strays or abused. GUYS ANIMALS GO MISSING FOR AWHILE DONT ASSUME SHIT.

Read title as "found my kitchen" and I thought your cats name was Kitchen, which would be a pretty kick ass name. Happy he's home safe.

Kitchen the kitten. I like.

Hold up, a new collar? So somebody took your kitten and then got rid of it?

Probably stole/found him and never took to a shelter, we did not find out till he escaped and found a decent person who did the right thing

Which is getting the animal scanned at a vet

That's what we're assuming, he's at a healthy weight and the only issue was fleas so we're guessing he just got out on them recently as well

Our cat just went missing 3 days ago. This gives me hope.

Did you put the litter box outside? Cats are pretty good about that stuff

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but we have put some clothing out tho

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Try the litter box, it has a strong smell that they can recognize

Thank you. That's a good idea

Of course, if you have good pictures of them try sending them to local vets and shelters too, they should help
