Stella is my 9 year old chihuahua and had suture repair on her hind right knee, plus a luxating patella repair. She’s breaking my heart.
Her surgery was an hour away from my home, so we had a good drive before she was back home.
Inner leg bruising and eight staples. She has yet to put any weight on her little leg.
Seatbelted in and ready to go home.
Trying to keep her happy and comfy.

Sorry about the little pup!! Hope she gets better real soon. I had a patella surgery and it sucked. Poor little thing

I think her knee hurts her more than the ligament suture, honestly. She’s not using her leg at all and she has been in a LOT of discomfort

No bandage necessary, I guess? They want me to cold compress it 3 times a day for 5 days and then heat compress for the next 5.

She came to me without one, so there must be a reason. Maybe too much compression is bad? Should I call and ask?
