Rest In Peace, Jimmy

We put down my buddy on Friday. I’m still processing it. He had been sick for a while; didn’t eat much and what little he did eat he threw up. The vet said his kidneys were failing. This is the last picture I got of him. He’s trying to clean my sinuses with his tongue.

Here he is laying on the bed.

Here’s a rare shot of him lying in his own bed, rather than ours. ?

Everywhere I look something reminds me of him: the food & water bowls in the kitchen, the blankets in the living room, the flea & tick shampoo we used once in his entire life in the bathroom ….

This would have been just back from getting a haircut.

Sometimes he would nap places other than the bed.

This one’s the oldest pic I could load up. He was maybe 4 months old here.

My wife misses him at least as much as I, and she has a lot more pictures than I do, but I don’t feel like going through her collection right now.

I posted some pictures before; I’ll link to it

He looks like a sweetheart, I'm so sorry for your loss. When I lost my best friend in May, my partner gave me a picture frame with the engraving "love never dies," and I believe that. As long as we remember their love and devotion, they never truly leave us.

@OP Oh I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is awful. Been through it, so hard. They are family and losing them is awful. My condolences.
