Well it's not surprising he feels that way. The first thing any and all fundamentalist regardless of religion, seems to agree on, is woman have no rights and are only heated meat sacks, meant to serve every need of "inset god of choice here" 's true sons.

He appears to be caressing his quivering lips with that microphone ever so tenderly...

Then I won't be Christian. Easy fix. The Satanic Temple is more my speed anyway.

Kissing by the state of the church today you can't be a Christian and a *checks notes* Christian

*You cannot be a Christian and a conservative. FTFY

Yeah because I remember that part in The Bible where Jesus shamed Mary Magdalene, you know, the "apostle to the apostles".

Yeah, we're aware. So? What's your point?

I mean, you CAN be. It's just a bit harder, you need to put on your InterpretHelmet 3000. That book is sexist as fuck.

Oh look the manosphere and weird evangelical cult shite - two great grifts that grift great together.
These empty shells of people are so f’n BOOOOOORING on top of being the rapiest of rapey creeps.
They’re weird in a bad way. They BAAAASIC. The whole schtick would be frankly sad if it wasn’t for the violence.
I hope he gets pancreatic cancer

You also can't be a christian if you have eye defects, so this guy isn't a real pastor.

Guess I’m an atheist now. This is surely what they wanted.

You can always go naytheist (someone who believes in Gods, but thinks they're assholes who don't deserve worship) instead!

This depends on how much of the bible you're willing to ignore.

An honest reading of the bible gets you groups like the KKK and Westboro Baptists.

If you agree with how they interpret the world it would be an "honest reading" otherwise, it's not an honest reading.

Imagine the Venn diagram Those who think it is "an honest reading" and "Those who don't "

You cannot be part of the modern Christian church and follow the teachings of Christ.

Jesus himself said surprisingly little sexist shit, but Paul made up for it tenfold in the NT. Even if you ignore Paul, there is the tiny problem that Jesus alleged daddy / other personality was one disgustingly misogynistic piece of shit. So yeah, it's difficult to see how you could be an intellectually honest feminist while supporting institutions that view the world's most awful fairy tale collection as a moral guidebook and, by and large, still use it to subjugate women & promote patriarchy.

I mean, you'd have to be insanely dishonest / self-deluding to deny that christianity is a patriarchal religion. That much is an undeniable fact. Just look at the way women were historically treated in christian and other abrahamic societies. How they're still being treated in this day and age in most cases. If you're an intellectually honest feminist, you can't help but realize that this is something we need to grow out of and leave behind in the dark ages.

Let me get this straight: he doesn't think women should have equal rights because he believes in ghosts?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Apparitions aside not having equal rights is heretical.
