None of those fixes relieve upper back pain. That's the part that hurts the most for me, because my tits are massive.
HeyOhBotchedToe
I, sir or ma'am, have absolutely zero dics in my back. Intervertebral or otherwise.
dinaana
Read it as gluten free stretch, no regrets, still laughing
chrome730
It says 2 million days per year spent in bed....... i would love back pain right now
WhyWasentThisTakenYet
It's not gonna save all this leaning over on the toilet.
anjroo
Not one mention of proper posture? Most back pain is due to people hunching over too much
linode
stretching

I've got damage to my lower back. I've been doing yoga twice a week for two years. Haven't missed a days work or a single bball game.

And for those of us who cannot get on the floor? Or cannot lay on a firm surface?

I'm pretty sure my back pain is caused by demon tendrils running up and down my spine, being tugged on. At least that's what it feels like.
Xelothar
So it's the fault of an American that i have back pain?
AlphaVictor4
TIL spinal stretch is the shit... Feels amazeballs
Boomi
That lower pain pain
Mimsey
You fucks remember these stats about back pain next time you decide to parrot the meme about big breasts causing it.
VigorousButtstuff
Stretching isn't that useful. What IS useful is exercise. Seriously. A big part of the reason back pain happens is that you overwork it.
HollaTheGuard
+1 used many of these recovering from herniated disc
MarshallDaemon
I like how these images have skinny people with bad backs. Yeah, I can totally do those moves.
ConspicuousSpellingError
On the hip flexor stretch, get that rear knee far back and drive your hips down. Very big for fixing tightness caused by sitting all day.
NoticeablyDrunk
23 dics, you say?
mineovermatter
Christ...more simplistic "solutions" to back pain. If only these worked...
Articate
I am actually currently in heavy back pain, and it is caused primarily by tight hip flexors. Tight muscles can cause back pain
Also, yes I know that it is from tight hip flexors. These stretches are good for people leading a static life but working out is also needed
RussianMaleOrderBribe
They work on mild cases of inflamed discs. Largely useless for herniated discs unfortunately.
Lightpulsar9
These are probably better for back pain prevention. Better posture is usually helpful, and a good quality bed makes a huge difference
Freezus
Give Chiropractic care a try too, it is pretty swell
Sekolah
Came here to say this, a good chiropractor is a wonderful aid for your health and well being

The chances are your flutes are weak and your flexors disgustingly tight from sitting. Stretches won't touch it.
DeathsDeathOfRats
Glutes? I don't even have one flute let alone two.
jebowlin
Anything on here or a Pars Defect? Look it up.

Ha. .. Dics in the back.

DO NOT KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT. You lift with the natural curve in your damn back! This is how people get hurt!
I believe hunching over when lifting activiates the lower back and takes the weight off the legs. See: deadlifting form.
Cassandralala
A better way of saying it would be "don't arch your back". Probably would help if it said to engge your abs as well.

I NEED IT BAND STRETCHES DAMMIT
Get a foam roller. It's glorious on IT bands.
SallyMaeMoe
I'm going to do this before squats
dobber59
Also try a pigeon stretch before squatting. Helps a great deal ????
jackdanielsauce
wait is this a question or a statement?
lol. Just saw this, definitely a statement. My bad.
Muttmutt
I chose opiates 10 years ago and probably should have tried stretching instead
racecarbedx
I have gotten addicted to everything I try like this except vicodin. I literally only take them when I absolutely need them.
ajackaljackalitsajackal
I went in for back pain and was shocked when I was given a BIG bottle of Vicodin. It's too freely handed out. :/
Roune
Not anymore. Now they are basically saying opiates should only be for after surgeries or cancer patients. They're really cracking down on it
sergei650
Correct. It's still used to acute pain, but it's no longer recommended for chronic pain.
