Boats are obviously designed to be exposed to all these things but all these things are still inherently destructive to materials and so a lot of the cost of owning a boat goes to maintenance caused by that stuff.
Not necessarily about speed. Joystick control iirc needs a minimum of three engines to work correctly. Especially in the case of the boat not having bow thrusters.

Lol 60? That's a competition bay boat. Easily 80+ and they actually run better on a little chop than on smooth water. They probably have $350-400k in that thing.
They're like bass boats as far as the rapid hull design developments and engine/prop combos, just way more expensive. That was a mild one. A guy I work with fishes a lot of tournaments on the Texas coast and is part owner of one with 3 450s on it. It was $680k new. It tops out around 95 mph.
