Haven't vacuumed.

Haven't cleaned the table.

Haven't taken out the trash (although I will after this post. Gross.)

Haven't done the dishes.

Haven't worn pants. (Except to store and picking kids up from school)

Slept like a fucking boss

Haven't picked up my laundry.

Haven't picked up oldest sons underwear. (He will be picking this up when he gets home from school)

Was supposed to get healthy stuff for kids. Got donuts.

And ice cream.

Houdini cat tax.

I took Parker down after some consideration and a warning from a commentor.

For those of you who are telling me to clean the house or calling me a slob, I'll reiterate again:

I work full time, about 46 hours a week, to support my family and raise my children the right way. I teach them daily about life and responsibility. My oldest are both in advanced classes in 1st Grade (math for my son, english for my daughter). Both of them are better behaved and more advanced than their peers. They clean their rooms regularly, and have to earn the things they get through hard work. My oldest son is very into Creativerse and Stardew Valley and my daughter loves to read books way beyond her age range. My youngest is well beyond where he should be on the developmental chart. I spend hours with them each week teaching them math and reading and etc.

I'd like to request everyone viewing this to take a moment and reflect on what you want to post. I posted this for entertainment, in the hopes of connecting with other fathers who understand the struggle to raise a family in America today.

Remember that you don't know me, or how I raise my children. You don't know the people commenting here. Know that your comment is a reflection of yourself, and that any decent person viewing this who has children knows how hard that life is. Don't immediately judge me for taking 10 days off each year, because you don't know how hard I work to earn these 10 days.

The way the world is today... it's hard for people to connect with each other. It's even harder when we all have access to the internet to expose to others our hidden inner selves. Take the post for what it is; a hard-working man who supports his family regularly taking a few days off in the absence of his wife. Enjoy the post. And try your best not to let the pain or the judgement inside you spill out onto others.

FP Edit:

We have been foiled, I'm afraid. My wife saw the post and isn't as upset as you all would hope she would be. I'll keep my promise and not clean and upload her reaction, but I fear it won't be nearly as you'd all imagined.

As opposed to requesting boobs, I'd like to request that everyone reading this take a few moments to consider all the decent fathers in the world. It's not an easy job.

I'd also like to shamelessly plug my wife's business:

http://eeksattic.com/

It made this post possible.

And finally, I'd like to encourage you all to LEARN MORE ABOUT SCIENCE. Jesus, it's 2016 people.

When your kids are grown they will never remember how clean the house was. What they WILL remember is a father who gave them donuts 1/2

And ice cream when Mom was gone. Just for fun. Take the +1 from Mom who would love to go back and skip sweeping for more time when they knew

Living the life! This is the boys house now!

Wifey is going to be pissed if you don't clean because you made it to FP. At least my ex wife would have.

Looks like my house. Dad life is fun. Thumbs up @OP

Kids: "Dad can we get doughnuts?" Dad: "No...your mother doesn't like...well just this once"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No no. It was more like "but mom said no donuts" ... "your mother isn't here, is she?"

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Haha I like your style

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My 2 kids make more of a mess in 10 hours let alone 10 days.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I drive a truck 70 hours a week and my house and truck are both clean. Because I clean as I go.

I thought #5 was going to be: "Dipped my toes in olive oil with my socks on"... I was disappointed.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lmao. That's great.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you went full teenager mode – well done! I'm sure you've earned it

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

She hasn't taken this trip in 2 years because of our youngest. It was due.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sooo... I am 32yo teenager? Neat.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow, some people just can't refrain from making snap judgements can they? As a father, I can totally relate and the post was entertaining!

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

Meh @ them. Glad you enjoyed.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Huh you should see our house. always and every day much worse than this. Two parents working 40+ hours a week, u do bare minimum 2 get by..

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man, I have 3 kids. My house is rarely that clean and I clean it every day.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your computer chair looks like Boba Fett.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy. Shit.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

My house is a perpetual pigsty. My SO and I only have a ten month old baby but we work full time opposite shifts. Haters gonna hate.

You're the best @op and

Enjoy it while you can.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Best dad ever!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I don't have any kids, I have a niece and nephew, and my brother and sister-in-laws house is never that clean, so I think your doing well.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Up vote for sympathy. My mom is being treated for cancer and my dad is struggling to keep everything afloat, even with two adult kids.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Feels. Major feels. Sorry to hear.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

For what it's worth, she's doing really well in her treatment. My sister and I are trying to step up. We'll all recover, no doubt.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just lay down a new layer of newspaper every week. And make garbage angels. You'll be fine.

10 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 0

This speaks to be

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was the opposite for me when my wife left town recently. I got the house so clean and tidy. The second she got home, trashed.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You throw out bags?! Store those suckers!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you store enough, you can use them for insulation, safety cushions on cribs, makeup remover and seasoning for your meals.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna have to do another edit. Lol. We do store them, but we have like 8000 as it is. She took the cloth bags we use with her. >>

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Sorry earth.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

i like your post but i would advise against putting pics of your boy on here...also, why so many plastic bags in your trash bin?!

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

And yeah. I debated on it for a while. I decided to put him in there because he was so interested in my pictures. Now I'm worried. Lol

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Groceries from this morning. Wife took all the cloth bags on trip with her.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Why not recycle???

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Keep them don't throw them out. Use them for small bins or more shopping.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We do. We have like 4 big totes full of them, otherwise I would keep them. Trust me, we try our best not to.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

so recycle them then!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Tell that to Waste Management. They get mad at us.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I pick up dog poop with them. It's a noble purpose.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like... randomly? Other people's dog's poop? That is a very noble purpose.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took Parker down. Thanks for reminding me where I am.

To be clear, my kids keep their rooms clean all the time. My son is 6 and in advanced math classes in 1st grade. My daughter is in >>

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

English classes. And my youngest son is well beyond where he should be developmentally. I teach my children regularly about responsibility >

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

And life. They are far more advanced and well behaved than their peers. They also need to understand that it's okay to take a week off.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

I work on average 60 hours a week, I am not a father but man like you here are and do it for their family. Im ashamed when I get home and am

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lazy sometimes knowing that when they get home, their day had only just begun. Good to you for having a me week balanced with parenthood op!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Upvote for understanding. As a parent of a 3 1/2 year old, the place looks like that 10 minutes alone with him.

10 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 0

Me too! Awesome, I thought I was misparenting. Not sure if that is a word but let's make it one.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This! It also doesn't help that my family makes me feel like shit for one mess my son makes that gets overlooked at the end of the day

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a father of a toddler, can confirm. I clean constantly to keep my house at a 5 or 6 out of 10. I aim for hygenic not organized

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah he's crazy. It's horrible trying to poop being the only person home with a 3 year old. The sounds...

10 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

I just put my 1 1/2 yr old niece in her crib because I had to run to the bathroom. I at least know she is safe there and I can go in peace.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I find the scariest moment is when you realize it has been too quite for the past minute or so...

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yes. This. All day.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

My son is 18 months old. I've decided to not clean until he's in high school.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I never understood the point of making the bed.

10 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 3

It's psychological. Many people feel better with a clean bed. It's the same as waking up in an organized room. It just feels nice.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I definitely know that it calms my anxiety if everything is neat. It's pretty much why I clean constantly

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

First thing I do in the morning. Start the day by accomplishing something. Completing a small task. Room looks neat/put together

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me neither. But a made bed with fresh sheets us pretty boss.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dear god!!! You're a savage!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's actually bad for your bed. It creates a safe environment for bed bugs to live. We rarely make the bed, but I rarely have more than >>

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

*continues living like a pig*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/4 of the bed to sleep on.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Hm! I didn't know that!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it makes it pretty. I haven't done it since first semester at uni.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This will all change on the 9th day. Enjoy it!

10 years ago | Likes 200 Dislikes 0

Thanks to expoguy for riding the wave with me. I'm putting imgur down for the day.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Tell you guys what. If this post makes fp, I won't clean at all and will upload wife's reaction.

10 years ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 8

Vid Cam so we can see her murder you lolz

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll be here waiting for her reaction!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

this is gonna be good

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a wife, please don't do that.

Omfg. I'm crying.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

That's why fp. Y'all fuckers gotta pay something for the shitstorm I'll endure for your entertainment.

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

I give you my +1. But op better deliver! Or at least give the wife your login details, so she can update a treasure hunt to find your corpse

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I would walk back out for another 10 days

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Srsly. Nobody needs that shit.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"Dad, mom comes back tomorrow and everything is wrong." "No worries, I made a deal with an internet stranger. Dis gon b gud."

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, now we're waiting

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll do it, but she already knows. And the kids clean up without being told, so I actively have to tell them not to clean. Lmao.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a wife, the thing that would bug me walking in the door would be the dishes and trash. The rest looks like a week well spent.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Best comment, please.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My wife is leaving for a week in December, I made a schedule for when I don't have to wear pants

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You have to do your own wife out of town post. Will you vacuum?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Probably not... no kids though.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lots of porn. Got it. ????

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2
