Based on other reporting, they're probably going for the triple whammy of A) the mother was actively harming or preparing to harm the child when they entered, forcing a desperate attempt to stop her ending in tragedy, B) the husband's testimony can't be trusted due to his mental health history and C) the cam footage was corrupt or otherwise unsuitable for use.
