Truely one of the most evil mother fuckers to ever do it

Reinhard Gehlen ran CIAs European branch for years. The first director of the Kennedy Space center was a nazi general, one of Hitlers former Chief of Staff became NATO chairman, former Nazi general became commander of NATO forces for central Europe. These F'ers got repurposed everywhere across the West.

MoSSad. Sometimes the jokes write themselves.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 8

He was a psychopath, they have (almost) no allegiance to anyone but themselves. In some horrible way, provided you pushed the right buttons and had some control and their respect, in times of serious difficulty, someone like him is exactly who you need.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In times of difficult its people like him that need to die first.

Otto Skorzeny died in 1975

Man the west sure liked using Nazis after the war.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a pity Christopher Lee never got a chance to take this man out in a battle to the death.

Is that one of those fencing scars that were lowkey popular 100 years ago?

2 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 1

They still do that shit

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, there's still a thriving subculture of... let's call them ultraconservative... student organizations that are hugely into those scars.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Yes, it was a fencing scar.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yep. Schmiss. Very popular sign of Teutonic aristocratic badassery, to the point their fencing masks had exposed cheeks, foreheads, and chins, and they often rubbed dirt into the wounds or sewed them up with horsehair to make the scar more noticeable.

2 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 9

Izrael probably Nat cared zu much.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

wait till you see who got hired at Nasa as soon as 1945 (nazis at nasa? more likely than you think)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

US gov hiring nazi rocket scientists is common knowledge.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They didn't hire him so much as showed up at his house in Spain and said "either start working for us as an agent for us to find and kill other Nazis, or…"

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Being an amoral sociopath are valuable traits for intelligence work. If he ever turns, they also would have no objections burning him given his past. Like it or not, intelligence is not a nice business. The best assets are effective but you also don't mind leaving in a shallow grave. The Mossad knows that just as much as the KGB, MI6, or CIA.

He's the guy who rescued Mussolini after he was sacked by the Italian king

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Didn't take part in the rescue itself, but he orchestrated it.

Still, what a CV.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fucking moron almost jeopardized it because he squeezed into the plane with Mussolini against the pilot's protests, too.

Actually most of his operations were pretty much failures.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He took the praise, but the ops was planned and carried out by german regular parachute troops, with a dozen or so SS soldiers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Sasso_raid

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That resume would send him straight to the top in Trump's cabinet.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, it’s not like he invented the V-2 rocket for the Germans to besiege London, then create the first nuclear ICBM for the Americans to aim at the Soviet Union. Looking at you, Wernher von Braun.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Werner von Braun was an unrepentant nazi, a slavedriver, womanizing creep who preyed on women half his age, and pathological liar. He is considerably more evil than some of the men on trial at nuremberg

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Und jetzt bin ich Tod werden, Zerstörer der Welten

Apart from the atrocious attempt at German, that's Oppenheimer you're quoting.

Yeah that was the point. And it was translated from poor English

Once the rockets go up, I don't cares where they come down. "That's not my department." Say's Wernher von Braun. Quote from Tom Lehrer lyric.

"Otto Skorzeny was a man wanted by Mossad, but instead of killing him, Skorzeny ended up working for Mossad. His motives for doing so are unknown, but it is likely a combination of a desire for adventure and a fear of being killed by Mossad, which led him to work for the Israeli government."

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

His motives were simple. He was a violent psychopath who enjoyed war and conflict and this allowed him to indulge his violent adrenaline junkie behavior legally

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

How many jobs did the CIA, KGB, MI5 give him?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't forget the money.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I doubt it. The company he founded in Madrid, Spain is still operating and echonomically doing so good. Not to mention her side job of as weapons deaeler, while he were alive.
For further information, you can read this:

No doubt he was a bastard nazi, but no traces of any mind disorder.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bruh he used to personally train soldiers in how to torture other by demonstrating on other soldiers and smile while doing it. He was a psychopath

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did not suspected you knew him so well...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Skorzeny worked training the Egyptian Army and Arab volunteers (including Yassir Arafat) to attack British and Israelis... before Israel recruited him *to help hunt down other Nazis*.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dueling_scar

A sign of honor in the very patriotic and conservative studentcorps. Dueling with sharp weapons was later on prohibited, but the studentcorps stayed very conservative. They still exist at some German Universities

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

dueling with sharp weapons is NOT prohibited and very much still alive. i did it myself. also, while you're right about the vast majority of studentcorps being very conservative, especially those who still do the whole dueling thing, there are exceptions - not necessarily the studentcorps themselves as institutions, but definitely individuals. again, from personal experience.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was a trend. Like a mark of devotion.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Had nothing to do with being a Nazi. Franz Boas had a dueling scar; father of American anthropology, anti-racial scientist, Jew that fled the rising German antisemitism. It was a common pastime, much in the same way hockey players display their lost teeth today; and at least fencing with sabers is less deadly and stupid and more skill based than the gun dueling going on in the USA

2 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 3

Yes, but also kinda no. A lot of them went to "far right" schools and student clubs that were extremely right wing (Burschenschaften). Duelling was a common practice.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Scar from a Sabre slice to the cheek. Considered honorable in Germany

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

A lot of German officers had those, I my understanding this that fencing gained quite a bit of popularity leading up to the Second World War

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

It wasn't so much fencing as it was ritualized hazing with swords. The idea wasn't to strike your opponent and avoid being hit yourself, but rather to suffer cuts to your cheeks, forehead, and ears and not flinch as you were sliced open.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They take thesis defense very seriously in Germany.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

He was a violent and sadistic psychopath who basically got to be a government sponsored serial killer which was probably a dream job for him

It's in the job description methinks

Israel forces were built up using Nazi infrastructure and personnel. They ran military schools in West Germany after the war, using former facilities of the Hitler youth. It's even on Wikipedia.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

They have become the oppressors.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

NOW everything makes much more sense.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They caught him to kill him, but figured it was better to employ him instead and have him kill Nazi scientists working for Egypt, so they spared his life. Two dead Nazis are better than one.

The catholic church did it with Ratboy. Nazis are bad, but useful.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Israel and Nazi Germany did not exist at the same time in history. Israel was founded in 1948.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

"Israel" at that point of course meaning "Zionist militias fighting against the British Mandate authorities in Palestine", since the state was established only after the war. The article is an interesting read, with the way modern Israel rewrites history.

2 years ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 3

A lot of countries joined Nazi Germany or Soviet Russie in hopes of an "independent" (or at least existing) homeland. It was even worse in WW1 where everyone fought on all sides for an independent Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and more.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah your quotes around israel are correct, but these people went on to be involved in Israel without the quotes. One had a high level military medal named after him, etc. These people shaped Israeli into what it is now and had a huge impact on their military tactics even today.
