The one I've got at work cuts steel up to 1/4" thick. 6mm for europeans. And its old and worn out, needs some sharpening and repairs.

Pain was delayed. I was wearing leather work gloves and cutting pieces of steel flat bar. I only felt a some pressure, like the end (1/3)

That's called a Piranha. We have a 65 ton one at work. Goes through that 3/16" steel like butter and can punch holes in a 1" steel plate 1/2

pretty easily. Has a foot pedal trigger, so if you're inexperienced or off balance, it can take your thumb off without skipping a beat. Fun!
