This little guy came into the shelter I used to work at. Too small to be adopted, so he went into foster care. You’d be surprised at the kinds of dogs you can find in shelters! My Shiba came from the same place. #adopt_dont_shop

Yeah, it’s an old photo, but he was on medicine for the eye issue. I don’t remember what was wrong.

Up north maybe. In rural south you'll only find mutts, Rottweilers, and Pits. Nothing wrong with that but you won't find a Shiba here.

SC here, I'll agree with the pits and pit mixes but one of our huskies was at the shelter. Never seen a rotty, wish I would, Love the derps.

Some breeds are more rare than others for sure, but most shelters have websites you can search. Just have to be patient and keep looking!
