Wow, haven't seen this one for a while. It almost doesn't count as a repost

As a student living in downtown boston I've seen all of these poses from our eastern friends

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol the top photo is in Sydney Australia, I was just there this morning :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly Asians have a more effective pose.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

art school taught us not to stoop, pix look weird at eye level

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Asians are masters of support

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Yea but I get tired of playing healers in games :(

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Too bad, both you and my gf are my pocket healers and pocket healers have to heal

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The last dude’s little feet!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Last week I saw two asians tourists shooting a photo at a pigeon on the ground.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The American pigeons get pretty big when they feed on McDonald's fries.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, an italian, perfectly average pigeon, it was just sitting smooshed on the ground, and they were taking photos like they never saw one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see these and think of Boyle taking pictures of Peralta

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the "art graduate" holds the camera wrong too..

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why is “x” the symbol for the angle? It’s making me uncomfortable.

Need to brace for the recoil when you shoot

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an Asian, holy shit I can't believe how accurate is this

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The Asians are more trained

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's how you make your Asian friends look taller...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Us Asians always are assuming the tripod position because we’re built to look through camera lenses. “Eyes always in widescreen”

8 years ago | Likes 165 Dislikes 5

That's a really important "Us" at the beginning.

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 2

Shouldn't it be We Asians?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It’s kind of a stereotype to describe them as “wee Asians” isn’t it?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Wee as in little? Or wee as in making fun of my accent Lee?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That too!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an irish asian, yes it is.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok this may announce my stupidity but why doesn't the art student take a step back?

8 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 1

Not quite sure there’s any stability benefit to that pose and if there were maybe for a few inches of elevation. It’s more about arms/hands.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually it's not as much how far back they are, but more the height they are at.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

It's cuz we put ourselves into the shot. We art grads can end up in weird poses

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because like every other human being on earth, she sometimes make choices that aren’t 100% logical.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

She likely set her feet and then moved her head back and forth to find the frame she wanted.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The real question though—why is everyone all up in her business about it?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

She's locked into stance and doing microadjustments for framing, because cropping is for poseurs.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an honours degree art student, we don't do that shit in reality (totally not pissed off at stereotypes)

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

I've done a little work in photojournalism; I was always more worried about the angle and framing of the shot over my stance.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Exactly, people who make those stupid poses are just pretentious twats

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an art graduate, if we had that kind of sense, we wouldn't be art graduates.

8 years ago | Likes 213 Dislikes 1

Now that is an honest answer! +1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imma start taking pictures like this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The art graduate pose is really unsafe, Asians have it right. How are you supposed to recover from the giant recoil from shooting the photo?

8 years ago | Likes 1876 Dislikes 3

It's a DIGITAL camera, genius.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

The flash is still there

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The muzzle brake is right there on the end of the lens. I bet you don't even know what the legal definition of an "assault camera" IS

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Well is it high capacity?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It depends on your state. In Blue states you can barely fit high-caliber Megapixels. Shoot a couple macro shots at short range.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

jump right as youtake the shot so the frce makes you do a sick backflip

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget the weight shift as the memory card fills up.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

bc of the different types of shooting. Asian applies burst or full auto mode, but art student manually reloads a homemade SD cart each shot.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I figure Asians just like to keep a lower center of balance martial arts stance, in case kung-fu fighting.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Hurts my back to look at her.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

She? I thought that was a guy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I suggest working out. even a little

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You good sir should do some stretching. She's not even leaning back that much.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Eh. I'm 2 back surgeries in.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I read this as beong serious till i got to the recoil part and pissed my pants, good job

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What do you think happens when you take a photo? Cannon is the brand name, not the resulting fire.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly! As an art graduate myself, I... I'm too poor to afford a camera.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Belly laughed. Best comment I’ve seen in a while

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lift with your legs, not with your back!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just use a recoil compensating tripod, duh!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Does it have a mounting point for an underbarrel grenade launcher?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but it does have an Extended SD card memory, with High Capacity Lenses to help take car of those "bigger pictures."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

clenching their diaphragms.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Hahahah lol’d

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

nice 404

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny! Real talk, you can hyper extend your back that way.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, big lens, big recoil.

8 years ago | Likes 233 Dislikes 0

It's not really the caliber of the photo that matters, it's that the velocity of the photons are ~1c.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

These pictures are ancient. The ceras that asians wield nowadays are fucking enormous. Makes me feel a little self conscious.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Look, just get a bigger compensator than what they have

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Get a degree in leaning they said, you'll be making lots of monies they said.

8 years ago | Likes 177 Dislikes 1

Depends on whether you're leaning backwards or forward.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

they didn't say that. nobody says that.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Pst....that's the joke fyi

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I said it once

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hm, yea, that sounds good, but what if I paid you in exposure instead? That okay?

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Hey instead of an upvote ill give you exposure instead.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We use digital these days. We don't have to worry about exposure anymore.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Well, it'll still be better than a degree in gender studies.

Bottom one is really stable-that's really close to how the Army teaches firing from a standing position, besides where his feet are.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The art graduate's angle does nothing to change the picture. Compared to the tourist they just moved back and down slightly. Asian is right.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

im all asian but i have no camera. too broke.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I see you are a fellow Bsian

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are not Asian-ing right.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With the exception of the tourist (who's just using a point-n-shoot), all of these are using an improper stance for preventing camera shake.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0
