I'm located in Western Wisconsin, and I witnessed the worst reck of my life today. The semi hydroplaned, and slid into a car next to him. He mounted the center median, and slid for a good 50 feet, while the car was pinned between the semi and the wall. I immediately pulled over and got out, running to the scene. All the while, people kept driving by. I was at the scene even before first responders. As I ran up, multiple people joined me, helping clear the road, and making sure the man was okay. The car went from a good five feet tall, to maybe 2 1/2 at best. Miraculously the man was okay, and was lifted to the hospital. If there had been another person in the vehicle with him, the story would have been much more different. Drive safe, and count your lucky stars everyone. TLDR; OP witnesses a horrible wreck, as people keep passing and not helping. OP gets out, and as I get there, I'm joined by many other good samaritans to help clear the scene before first responders arrived. I didn't move the guy, he was in his car. CLS taught me enough to know that I do not move a body when I'm not fully aware of his condition

Hydroplaning is a bitch. In California, we have grooved concrete highways, which mitigate hydroplaning but feel weird.
