And grams of protein for dairy products really depend on the brand so it's important to read the nutrition label on the back

I hate being pregnant so much. 2/5 do not recommend.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

75g is cute. I'm generally around 305g

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I feel like it's definitely off... a can of tuna has 10 g of protein. ....

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried protein supplements and figured out that soy gives me tummy aches and diarrhea. So start small with new foods while pregnant!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...what about jizz?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No pizza to power ratio?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Protein is probably wanna the most overrated macro advertised

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I live on fruits, nuts, and vegetables and love it! I like meat too but rarely eat it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Heard to avoid Tuna during pregnancy due to Mercury.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can't you not have lunch meat? Because of the listeria or whatevs? I'm not a breeding lady myself, just been around em.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1gram per pound of bodyweight. Or 2.2grams per kg.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They forgot about edamame! One cup of shelled steamed edamame has nearly 20 grams of protein, just watch for the salt

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Calm down Seitan

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My coach makes me eat 226g a day. Shit really is taxing

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's really really bad for your kidneys..

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And why 226? Why not 225 or 230 or 220? 226 seems so random :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We gotta get them gains...for you know the baby.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Low fat yogurt?! Please, for the love of God, only eat full-fat dairy if you're pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This. The sugar they add when they take out the fat is worse for you than eating the real foods in moderation.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Please take 10mins to research the right protein for your body size; too little and you're weak, too much and you fuck with your kidneys.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

And too much protein is about a spade load, or what?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too much being in the realm of like, 600grams for healthy people.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How much is the vegan version?

PROTEIN

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1cup = 2,3dl; 1oz = 28,3g For the other 99.98% of the worlds countries that use the metrics system. (3 of 197 use imperial)

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 4

3½, because Canadians are never sure wtf we use. https://youtu.be/cPX3lEIS4bo?t=4m12s

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Based on population it's ~6% of the world and technically parts of the imperial system are still the official measurement system in the UK

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 9

The population of the US, Myanmar, Liberia, and the U.K. are well under a percent of the world population. Where are you getting 6%?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

US+Myanmar+Liberia+UK is about 440 million. World population is about 7.4 billion. 440 million/7.4 billion is roughly 6%

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Forgot a zero. Thanks. :)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No problem! :) It's so easy to forget a zero when the numbers are in the millions or higher.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shit.. 75? I eat 150g of protein per day.

10 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 1

Apparently 1 can of tuna is about 35 grams. Translate that into real food and 75 a day must be the minimum.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to this, i should be eating 130g of protein.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bro do you even lift

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I eat between 100-120 as a 5'5" female.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

150g a day. Losing weight, working out. Need lots of meat. Lol

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

My goal right now is 275. The struggle is real

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm just shooting for around 200 and the struggle is real. I can't imagine tacking on another 75g.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I want a picture of you!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

we shall see lol

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn thats a lot of semen

Yes, police.. I'd like to report a murder.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

150g? I get at least twice that!

10 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Twice that? Brah, if you want some gains you better triple it at least! or should I say, at BEAST!

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

I know you're joking, but 450g per day is going to make people piss blood from kidney failure for those who can't detect sarcasm

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't piss blood, I piss EXCELLENCE! (which looks oddly like blood)

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You just need around 1.2-2g/kg bodyweight of protein to build muscles

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always carry extra ammunition FOR MY GUNS!!!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You need 1gm per lean mass lb. Your body isn't digesting the rest. Just flushing through your liver. It's unless processing.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Useless*

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lean mass? Bro, I eat so much protean I got MEAN MASS!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm not a body builder, I'm just a greedy bastard who likes meat!

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I'm greedy too bro, GREEDY FOR GAINS!

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Go for it!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Careful because you can't eat certain seafood or cold lunch meat. Congrats!

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

this should be positioned higher

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or soft cheese. And eat the tuna sparingly.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

why?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mercury and listeria respectively.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Registered Dietitian here...you actually need 0.8 g/kg body weight if your an adult M or F and 1-1.2g/kg if you work out

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

That's not all that different from what the infographic says. 0.8 g/kg = 0.36 g/lb and 1.2g/kg = 0.55 g/lb

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

1 gram for every pound of lean mass

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I hate it when infographics don't have "or what your doctor/professional recommends for your specific needs"

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that's what she said. No really, .36g/lb = .792g/kg.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

question, does too much protein hurt or do you just piss/poop it out?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your farts will be extremely deadly.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to other people, not me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NOT a registered dietitian, but unless you have kidney disease, you need A LOT of protein for it to hurt you. Its almost impossible.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed, you'll just excrete it unless there's other things going on as well. Your kidneys are pretty amazing

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So if I weigh 500 pounds I should be eating 200g of protein every day?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if its all lean muscle then yes. if you're a fatass then no

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

51 Cashews.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Closer, but still off: more like 85 nuts

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I said

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Where's the cocaine?

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Did someone say cocaine ??

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Shit, I can't find it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TIL the CDC also dispenses imformation about nutrition

10 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 0

and since the CDC dispenses imformation....we're all fucked

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Heart disease, diabetes, and sundry malnutritive disorders all fall under the heading of disease

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Center for Diet and Calories (also deadly disease)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They really should've been doing this before. Nutritional guidance is more important for pt health than drugs and pills for most people

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

CDC does a ton of studies. They got some on marriage too, basically alot of lifestyle stuff.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

got to stay healthy during a zombie virus outbreak

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I work out like a mother fucker and 4 pints of milk does the job nicely. Plus the water helps hydrate.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

GOMAD!!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's good for people who are bulking but milk usually isn't the best for protein per calorie.

Well, first off, don't run until you internally bleed anywhere. Secondly, go to a doctor and don't ask the internet about internal bleeding

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

All that puss and blood from infected udders that are over producing because of hormone stimulation.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 53

You sound like my vegan friends

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

I work in the meat and dairy industry, not vegan, just an interesting fact

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Goes wonderfully with my Oreos

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It's the thing I crave most after cardio?? Could drink five fucking litres

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I crave it too. I've only recently started working out (5 weeks ago). 6 days a week. Really want me some milk after.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Run 15k as standard during my training sessions. Did 20 but doing 16.batshit KMH per session was doing my knees in. 4 pints of milk after.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I'm only 30 and can't even run anymore. Came off a motorbike in my teens right on my knee. Started cycling but on a huge tour now and it's

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Started to fuck out again. Really shitty when it's not your laziness bringing you down

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can row. Low impact on the legs, and mostly works the arms. Rope too. Climbing is all about shoulders and arms. Branch out.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

My left ankle agrees with you.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 31, training to beat the world record 10k, and I over did it a couple of weeks back to the point of making my knees bleed internally.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Oh my god that makes me want to heeave you poor thing :( see you male or female and what's your best time so far? So interesting

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thx for the guide, quite useful. However, you need more protein. One reasonmight be because u don't absorb 100%

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

Iron deficiency?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most people think this is common sense, but it really isn't; there is an over-emphasis on protein by and large.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Presumably that has been accounted for already.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yea, pretty sure the CDC is on point with their data.. Seems to be their job.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends. That's why I drink whey protein concentrate. 95% absorption and that amino acid profile doe... hngh...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have never been a fan of protein shakes, but bcaa's... yeah, can't live without it. Game changer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but but protein powders are made out of 20% BCAA's

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying I'm logical. I'm just saying i prefer just taking my pre-workout and then my bcaa intraworkout

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So you noticed a difference? Energywise?
