A dignified death on the hospital
Today has been Carsten Flemming Hansen last day at aarhus university hospital, he got his final rest.
A few days before he was sent to hospital with a artery in the abdomen that was broken, and when he was already too ill to have the operation, it would be a matter of a few hours or days before he would die of the internal bleedings. His greatest and last wish was to leave the earth with a cigarette and a glass of white wine.
Now there's no smoking in the hospital, but the nurses and the family agreed that this situation was Carsten Hansen more important than treatment, prevention and Hospital rules.
Therefore Carsten Hansen got helped out on a balcony where he with family enjoyed the cigarette, the cold glass of wine and a beautiful sunset. Sorry for the bad English.
The hospital was Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark.
