CT scanner spun at full speed

Man that has to be aerospace level balanced else it would self destruct in no time.

And now you know why those things are so damn noisy

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Waiting for the portal to open.....

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Put... put your dick in it

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Close the iris!!!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Frikking magnets, how do they work.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

About ten speed

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So fast you can barely make out the hamster.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jesus Christ, I was just in one these fuckers.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too. Just yesterday.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When they tell you to not move, you better not move!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Needs lightning effects, buzzing sounds and a portal

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Put....put your body in it.

Fidget spinner hospital edition

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the stargate Orlin built in Samantha Carter's basement.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think it is imperative to send a human through that hole at 88mph...for science, to see what happens.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Now is that a fidget spinner too...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Messes with my eyes.. I know it's spinning clockwise.. But once it gets going it looks like it's going counterclockwise.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Will it blend?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best fidget spinner I've seen

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don't think that helped me be less afraid of them...

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When I feel bad for those TSA agents and border control people working near bloody scan all day, now I have a new respect.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit that's scary! Was expecting camera and man to be pulled in. Was disappointed.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure glad I have a thin layer of material protecting me from that...

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

If it breaks while spinning, the centrifugal force will likely send pieces out, not inward. The center is probably the safest place to be.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Centrifugal bumble-puppy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stargate!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's like a washing machine for your brain.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's a next model of neuralizer after 1969 one.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"And now we're going to have you lie down right there in the middle. Try not to move, you might lose a finger."

9 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

I was able to stay still until the very large noise, then I freaked the hell out and thought of every horror movie...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"If you're lucky."

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or, you remember that metal splinter you got when you were 10? Ct scanner remembers.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

I thought that was MRI

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I wonder how much weight it would take to throw the balance off enough to fly apart.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They're so precise, the scan will distort with even a few mm of unbalance. It would shut down if it senses it's off balance at all.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I worked on one that lost a 10 lb balancing weight. It didn't fly apart though. Bearings failed, twisted the steel frame when it locked up

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

*sigh* The 7th chevron always takes the longest to lock.

Tee hee

"It has to spin, it's round. Spinning is so much cooler than not spinning. I am the General, and I want it to spin! Now!"

Arguably one of the greatest episodes. Window of Opportunity still takes the cake, but 200 was a great one.

Even that much naquadah must have cost a fortune.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just watched that episode :D

LMAO

+1 Stsrgate. ......aaaaaand we're walking.....

My hard drive reaction when my antivirus starts..

9 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 0

I remember thoes days.. The constant static noise.. The computer.. Refusing to respond for the next two hours while it searches... SSD4life

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I have 2 500 gig drives. Ones hard ones an SSD. CAN. NOT. WAIT. to buy a second SSD and move everything over

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Once you go SSD you never go back to the HDD

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why don't they just spin the person?

9 years ago | Likes 888 Dislikes 8

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Death probably

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like how you think outside of the box, or a hole in this case.....+1

9 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

It's actually inside in this case

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Username checks out

I've had a CT scan. It's like being in a loud coffin. Now I'm imagining a loud spinning coffin filled with projectile vomit.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Have you been in a quiet coffin? They're surprisingly serene.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They're never quiet, there's always coffin.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Maybe making sick people spin around at high speeds isn't the answer to all of our problems

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it's too much fun they have to label it as entertainment and pay higher taxes.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

because , common sense?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Because the only diagnostic answer it would come up with would be "The patient has motion sickness."

9 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

At that speed, it's probably "The patient is a liquid"

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That should be easier to send to a lab for analysis though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

good idea, they should try that

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

too much cleanup time

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Now we are asking the real questions...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

tensile strength limitations

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 292 Dislikes 1

I was expecting a response like this but I wasent ready for it...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sooo, what's your spaghetti policy?

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Spa? Are you trying to say spaghetti?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

His results say he has 12 recent bone fractures.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

$10000 please

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

Lot more than that.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

For a CT scan or for the whole machine?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

For the doctor appointment

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Scan is like $1500 (in US), machine is $2-3 million

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0
