I should be asking Pornhub my Exam questions, good to know

#15 has a point

Looks like the pornhub is after all part of the Imgur community, Just like Imgur Pornhub is a great source for random wisdom from strangers

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Start your 401k early. You'll never be able to retire, but when you lose your job during the next financial crisis you can spend it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#15 is for Ted Cruz

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's almost as if normal people with normal everyday lives also enjoy porn.

I've just become a PH member! Thanks, IMGUR!!

Alright, olive oil in the pasta is bullshit. Pinch of salt per liter and stir, that's it

Wrong answer to the math question. Damn I guess I can't keep watching porn instead of stack exchange for homework ...

I prefer the pornhub community over the imgur community

#6 does anyone else really want to see the "gorgeous nightstand" or is it just me?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ive been told pornhub has one of the best communities on the internet.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#5 is the best

1/2 The universal basic income is one we've been talking about @ work the last few weeks. Considering all the articles about automation

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/2 lately that when asked what will happen with the misplaced workers just say "the jobs haven't been created yet", lazy writers.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because the people who could be coming up with solutions for this are instead giving themselves tax breaks and screwing the poor.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/2 So what else is new? Most political parties do this for their mates, the problem is, 39.3% of income for the Australian government

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 is from income tax, before you get rid of people, how about coming up with a solution to replace those lost taxes, the useless muppets.

What kinda lasagna has noodles in them!?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Murican lasagna. I guess.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use noodles as a generic term for pasta. Lasagna, spaghetti, penne, etc are all noodles

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya know, the flying spaghetti monster makes more sense that way. If his "noodly appendages" were lasagna plates, he'd fly much easier

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it's not a noodle. You're using the wrong word. If you called all flying machines planes, a helicopter would still be mislabeled.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Noodles are made from unleavened dough which is stretched, extruded, or rolled flat and cut into a variety of shapes" - Wikipedia.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So a penne is a noodle?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What a great community! Supportive people, no need for face profiles, no pets, no sharing of your kids pics, and not a vegan in sight.

9 years ago | Likes 290 Dislikes 11

Vegans love pornhub. Human is the only flesh you can get consent for before putting it in your mouth :P

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Well then again sharing kid pics on a porn site might be.......no, it definitly is wrong

Dont put olive oil in the water used to boil pasta

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Why not? :o

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because thats what the bourgeoisie wants you to do. Also the sauce won't stick as good to the noodles.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I see! Thanks broseph

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And who the fuck boils lasagna pastas. You put it uncooked in the sauce and it cooks in the oven in about 25min.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

No lasagna expert, but directions said to boil them first. Enough to soften the noodles.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Taking cooking advice from pornhub feels like eating the peanuts off the bar in a strip club. Yuk.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He says 'lasagne', but is talking about noodles? I think not.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Maybe he doesn't know the word for it. I was surprised the first time I learned Americans use the world pasta.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeh I didn't get that. If you're using noodles to make lasagne, you're gonna have a bad time.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you fucking heathen. that shit is nasty. and it only works on certain noodles that are made for that. normal ones need boiled first

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Lasagna pasta are literally made for that. That's how you do lasagna. Also cannelloni for example. Like if the fuck are you going to handle

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

rinse them in cold water Einstein. They are not all made for that. You have simply only read the instructions on ones that were.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from France and I've cooked a fuckton of lasagnas in my life as my family is Italian and it's one of ouf favorite dish. I have never see

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and even then, those STILL suck. Literally. Do you even science? Where do you think the moisture comes from for the noodles? Your sauce/meat

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and cheese. You do lasagna with those noodles you're just making a chewy dry layer cake. Make a real lasagna some time. You'll never go back

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So I watched some videos and I've come to the conclusion that pre boiling 4-5min your lasagna pastas is an American thing. Never seen that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boiled pastas to put on layers? Plus you're supposed to cook everything together in the oven afterwards, are just gonna cook your pastas

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Twice so it's all mushy ? Or you just don't cook it together so it's tasteless, not grilled on the top and just basically lack structure

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just did this with my last Lasagna, wish I had at least the noodles sit in some water for 5 min before, turned out a bit dry for my liking.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How long did you cook it for?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

20-25 min, cant remember exactly, i think it's easier to just cook the noodles before hand

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IMO it sound more like you need more sauce or your sauce being more liquid. The pasta need to boil like it would in water so it really for

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have to be soaked in it. It's easy when it's tomato sauce as it's very watery but other sauces can be tricky.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 is incomplete advice. 401Ks are employer sponsored. At 18, he's probably still in school. He should be looking at IRAs and Roth IRAs.

9 years ago | Likes 400 Dislikes 2

Roth IRA's are the way to go

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget 401k's aren't the only thing - 403b's exist, too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I assumed he got a good job right out of high school.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are multiple types of 401k, some are pre-tax and some are post-tax, and you don't have to have an employer sponsor it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are traditional (pre-tax) and Roth (post-tax) but 401Ks by definition (and by rule) are employer sponsored.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a simple IRA (I work for a small company)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should create a Pornhub account to correct all this wrong advice. It's basically your civic duty.

9 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 0

**should use your already existing account **

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Who the fuck is this Roth guy and why is he using my money to support a united Ireland?

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Its Gerry Adams code name. shhh nobody can know

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was considering setting up a mutual index fund, but I've hear a lot about IRAs, how are the two different? Yes I'm too lazy to research

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IRAs are taxed differently and there are rules about withdrawing from them before certain age. Funds are just investments, taxed on earnings

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The roth IRA (or traditional IRA or any other retirement account) is your wallet. You can put different things inside for example an index

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

mutual fund, stocks, ETFs, etc. IRA= an account, Index mutual fund= one investment choice inside that account

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whats ur opinion on index mutuals?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bullish on VTSAX

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then the index fund. This usually doesn't happen, making indexes usually preferable. I like index ETFs over funds, but that's subjective2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at the alpha on active mutual funds if it is greater than the expense ratio of the active managed mutual fund than it is better 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed, roth IRAs, get one, max it. If you have a roth 401k max it to your employers contribution limit, then put the remaining limit to ira

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

[deleted]

[deleted]

9 years ago (deleted Sep 15, 2017 10:25 PM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

There is a contribution limit... you prioritize the one that gives you match (free money) then the one you control not tied to your employer

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wasnt going to get into the weeds of actual contribution limits between ages, 401o, roth 401k, or ira roll over techniques/income limits

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There are times when you should't be maxing out both. That's where a solid financial plan goes. What if you want to buy a car or house?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's where contributing to other forms of savings and investments comes into play.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Up the RA

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

OH AH Up the RA

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

chucky ar lar

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Here he goes...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So if no matching contributions from an employer, how much percent of income should get invested? I get that Roth is generally better.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Honestly as much as you can is the right answer. Practically 10-15% which should be incremented over time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends what you can afford.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Depends on income, age, other savings, and other expenses. Financial planning should never be generic. The basic "rule of thumb" is 12-15%.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

If there are matching contributions, at least the amount that is being matched. Assuming they can cover their expenses either the rest.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Agreed - best advice is to take advantage of every matching dollar you can. It's "Free money". And do it as soon as you can.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not all 401ks are empoler sponcered. You can get one even if your company doesnt offer one. I do thinks there is an age min though of 21.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There is a one-participant 401k option (aka solo 401k) but it's reserved for the self-employed. It is also, generally, not your best option.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are 403b's too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but those are only available for teachers and non-for-profits.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly! 401Ks are not universal is my point.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, you can borrow from one and any interest you pay is essentially paying yourself

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While true, it carries it's own risk and you lose out on potential investment growth. It's a decision that shouldn't be made lightly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IRA? Irish Republican Army? Aren't they the guys who bombed Manchester?\

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Irish Republican Army did back in 1900's I believe. Which was due to tensions between Ireland and Britain, most likely retaliation to 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Bloody Friday" but the recent one was terrorists. I think middle Eastern decent, not too certain I rarely watch the news

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Not the recent one, though. That was the other guys with the funny accents.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In case you're not just trolling: Individual Retirement Account

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And #2 is false. Olive oil in the water doesn't prevent pasta noodles from sticking.

9 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 7

Yeah, the olive oil helps the water not boil over.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Poorly informed advice from PornHub commenters? Are there no experts left in the world?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Often they're not supposed to be boiled at all, you just put them straight in the oven. Not always clearly marked as pre or part cooked.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's supposed to be good at reducing lasagna sheets sticking but it doesn't help much

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never said in the water. Regardless, it prevents the sauce from properly adhering to the pasta, so no oil.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

So true!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stirring is what prevents sticking.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alton brown proved it false. Good Eats is the best show.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one that doesn't cook lasagna noodles first? I soak them warm water for a few minutes then build the lasagna and bake 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It. And they come out fine every time2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always put some olive oil in the water when making sphagetti, prevents them from sticking

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 8

its just your stirring that stops them from sticking, i put nothing in my water and pasta never sticks

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ditto, I stir it up a bit to make sure they get coated before I dump the water. Works every time!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If you don't overcook it , it won't stick.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That just keeps the sauce from getting a good coating on the pasta.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You say that but oil floats, literally doing nothing to help the pasta when cooking. It's an old wive's tale like "searing seals in juices"

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

Of course I stir them to get them soaked in oil, literally does help.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

It really doesnt. Next time you make noodles skip the oil and do the same amount of stirring and you won't notice a difference. But I feel

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Partially true. While it never emulsifies, the rolling boil circulates the oil and coats the pasta. Still not good though, as it then

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Prevents sauce from sticking to the pasta. Best way to get pasta not to stick is to use a big pot with more water and stir occasionally

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This...people seem to forget water is denser than oil

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Water is more dense than olive oil. Hence water 'sinks'

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But but but... Gordan Ramsey does it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

But Alton Brown doesn't.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But does Gordon Freeman do it? He's a scientist

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gordon Ramsay probably reserves oily water while draining to thin his sauces.
