I really hope they keep no progression, or at least keep it as a mode you can play. Not being 50+ levels under players is nice when noobing.

Yeah I tried Fortnite, but just got so frustrated with everyone else in the matches having 100+ hours of experience and getting spammed.

Only way I managed to make to 5th place once after several hours was hiding on the edge of the map for the whole game.

You could wait for the pve mode to go f2p. You'll get some practice building/shooting that way.
